A quick first session
- Set an optional station grid. Open My station on the map and enter a Maidenhead grid. This enables station-aware tools; it does not create an account or publish your station.
- Open Map tools and choose a group. Every group is named in one list — Radio activity, Regional activity, Station path tools, Solar & geomagnetic, Regional propagation, Satellites & sky, Hazards, Weather observations, Warnings, Map context, Alerts & watches — and one opens at a time. Start with a small number of layers so their meaning stays clear.
- Inspect evidence in context. Select a marker or result for its source, observation age, supplied details, and caveats. A live point can be incomplete or no longer workable; [Watch activity](/dalmap/activity/) explains its status.
