These pages keep one thing, and it is your choice of appearance.
These are the pages that introduce dalDesk, dalMap, and dalSDR. They are not one of them, and what they do with your data is much smaller than what a product does — so it is written out here in full rather than left to be assumed.
Each product answers this question for itself, on its own privacy page, reachable from the
footer of its own guide. This page covers the family’s own pages, and there are two places
those are served from: this site, and the single page at dal.kf2em.com that anyone who
follows an old dalDesk link arrives at. They share their appearance control, their styling,
and their answers, so one page covers both rather than two pages drifting apart.
What every page shares
These are true of every page here, so the entries below describe only what they add.
- There is no account and no sign-in. Nothing identifies you between one page and the next, and there is nothing to sign out of.
- Nothing on these pages measures you. No analytics, no usage counting, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
- Everything a page needs comes from the address you are reading. The styling, the scripts, the icons, and the artwork are all served from it, so opening a page does not hand your visit to anyone else along the way. That is true of both addresses; each carries its own copy rather than borrowing from the other.
Who else is involved, on every page
GitHub serves these pages. Your browser fetches them from GitHub’s servers, so GitHub sees your network address and which page you asked for. That is the same effect any web host has, and it happens whether or not you do anything on the page. It is named here rather than in the entries below, so “No third party” in an entry means none beyond this one.
Appearance
The Light, Dark, and Auto control in the header.
What leaves the browser — Nothing.
What is kept, and for how long — Which of the three you chose, stored on this computer
under the name dal-theme, until you change it or clear the site’s data. Auto is the
default, and choosing it means your browser’s own light or dark setting decides.
The two addresses keep this separately, because a browser keeps a site’s storage under the
address it came from. Choosing Dark here does not change what dal.kf2em.com shows you, and
neither one can read the other’s setting.
One thing sets it without your touching the control: a link to dal.kf2em.com can name an
appearance, and following such a link stores that choice the same way pressing the button
would. It is worth knowing if a link someone sent you leaves the page looking different from
how you left it. Nothing else about you travels in a link like that, and the control is where
you set it back.
Whether a third party is involved — No.
What clears it — Choosing a different appearance replaces it. Clearing the site’s data in your browser removes it, one address at a time.
Support
The Support page and the assistant instructions it points to.
What leaves the browser — Nothing, from these pages. Copy address puts a web address on your clipboard and sends nothing anywhere.
What happens next is your choice and is outside these pages. If you paste that address into an AI assistant, whatever you then type to it goes to whoever runs that assistant, under their terms rather than ours. The Support page says what is worth handing over and what to keep — not the pairing code a product shows you, not another operator’s callsign or position, and not your exact location. You are not obliged to involve an assistant at all: the same page is written to be read directly, and reading it yourself sends nothing to anyone.

Whether a third party is involved — Not by these pages. Any assistant you choose to use is one you brought, and it is not acting for us.
What clears it — Nothing to clear here. Anything you sent to an assistant is held by whoever runs it, and removing it is a request to them.
